Monday morning, my laptop charger made an odd sputtering sound, and quietly died. What this means is that my time online will be slivered down some. I've ordered a new adapter, but optimistic estimates put the delivery date on this Friday. Here's hoping I don't end up spending the weekend without computer access!

If I'm conspicuously silent or absent, blame technology.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
Just thought I'd get that out there. Though I should point out that your charger is doing both of our sleeping schedules a favor :P silver lining and all that.

Ah, laptops.
I'm seriously tempted to replace mine with a desktop in the future....never thought I'd say that, since I have a near aversion to desktops.
Technical difficulties make me want to smash my head through a brick wall. =____=

Oh yes. The last two days were probably the first all year that I've gotten a full night of sleep. And today, I even woke up a few minutes before my alarm clock rang!

However, fixing chronic sleep deprivation isn't worth it. :crying:
:iconordie:
Something tells me you should have foreseen this, and that I thus have the moral pulpit from which to berate you for not having ordered it earlier.
:iconnycterent:
Desktops are also nicely cheaper. But the one thing that keeps me a laptop loyalist is the fact that you can take laptops with you. Although, technically, you can do the same with a PC. Weeell, actually, you can.
:iconnycterent:
There may have been exposed wires and crackling and sputtering within the black casing, but how was I to know that this would lead to this kind of heartbreak! :crying:

*laughing* That video's awesome....it's be easier to lug around your PC if you had a flatscreen monitor, too...=D
Yeah, the good thing about laptops is definitely mobility. But a starving college student such as myself probably should go for a desktop. (since I've had no end of technical difficulties with every one of my laptops, it might end with me being far less frustrated in the end...)

I can't say which is better, though. My old desktop would regularly cough up a blue screen at me. I've yet to have my laptop crash. But it's really up to chance whether you get a good one or if it crashes in a month, I've heard.
